WIRELINE PERFORATING & TCP
The communication between the reservoir and the wellbore is a fundamental need for optimal hydrocarbons production, whether such communication is achieved by perforating wireline or by tubing conveyed perforating – TCP.
Exen, at the forefront of the most demanding and most efficient technologies, offers within its portfolio the most advanced techniques at the level of reservoirs production.
HIGH DENSITY SHOT
In this method the gun is transported at the lower end of the pipe. With this system, clean, deep and symmetrical holes are achieved as result of using bigger diameter guns, high penetration shots, high density shots and without limits on the length of intervals to be perforated in the single trip. All this combined is achieved with an optimal differential pressure in favor of the reservoir in dynamic conditions at the time of the perforating.
Procedures:
1st step: The pipe is run together with the gun and packer.
2nd step: Packer is settled.
3rd step: Guns are activated, so well is perforated.
One of the perforating techniques that allows this type of method is the underbalance perforating where the hydrostatic column pressure at depth of perforating is less than the formation pressure.
The optimal perforating is obtained with a negative differential pressure and with solids-free fluids. This technique is developed after many analyzes to the technique of overbalance perforating, which does not prevent the completion fluid from having contact with the formation and that the residues of perforating remain in the tunnels created.
This system allows the elimination of damage created by drilling fluids, cementing operations and perforating operations itself.
The ability to combine deep and high penetration in the formation, shooting phase and a differential pressure in favor of the formation, allows to obtain an optimal productivity ratio (Actual production vs theoretical production).
The productivity ratio is a direct function of the perforating efficiency together with the reservoir characteristics.
Characteristics of Underbalance Perforating:
- It creates a condition in which the formation fluids flow immediately into the wellbore.
- It allows operations with well aligned to production facilities.
- It removes gun debris from the tunnels created and simultaneously return them to the wellbore immediately after shooting.
- It removes drilling and completions fluids from the damaged zone, guarranteeing clean perforations.
- There are no risks of completions fluids to invade the formation.

When guns are fired, a compacted zone of lower permeability is generated having no explosive debris.

The innovative methods of well interventions with Coiled Tubing have allowed the execution of countless applications for production maintenance and rehabilitation of oil, gas and water injector wells.
Our conventional Coiled Tubing equipment uses flexible pipe with a length of up to 20,000 feet depending on the pipe diameter (1.25 “- 1.5” – 1.75 “- 2”). Different fluids such as water, acids, solvents, nitrogen, other chemicals or sludge can be pumped through Coiled Tubing in order to clean obstructions or deal with specific problems such as paraffine and scale in the oil, gas and injector wells.
EXEN consolidates and complements its operations, covering the expectations of our customers by implementing a solution called Dual Coiled Tubing (DCT), which includes well cleaning and stimulation on horizontal and highly deviated wells with heavy or extra-heavy oil.
In February 2016, it starts the development and testing of our CT SPIRAL VENTURI TOOL® technology – CTSVTool® to intervene heavy and extra-heavy oil horizontal wells. Fist application was successfully completed in August 2016.

SLICKLINE SERVICES
EXEN makes these services available for the purpose of making the first diagnosis on the wells that will allow the definition of a rigless work intervention or not; and it may include a drilling rig intervention. It is considered as the fastest and most effective service to raise deferred production at the lowest operating cost in the entire oil industry.
Slick Line services is an intervention method in which a thin-cable is run-in-hole with basic tools (BHA – Bottom Hole Assembly) to diagnose problems and to evaluate current well conditions, including internal conditions on the completion and helping in determining obstruccions across the production zones.
The main components of a Slick Line unit include: The cable, the cable drum, the hydraulic power unit and the well control equipment.

BOTTOM HOLE EQUIPMENT
A thick or multifilaments cable is offered by EXEN in diameters of 5/16“.
EXEN is recognized as a leader in this type of services. These services are executed using a string of tools (BHA), thick 5/16” cable, hydraulic power unit and a grease injection equipment in order to install or recover tools at the bottom of the well.
At the surface level, pressure and surface control equipment of 5,000 to 10,000 PSI for standard or corrosive environments (H2S / CO2) are installed for this type of operations.

HOT OILER PUMPING SERVICES
Service of biggest demand by our clients that allows maintenance of production in heavy oil reservoirs in a fast and economic manner. It also allows maintenance of production lines and systems for both downhole and surface.
HOT OILER PUMPING
The main function of the Hot Oilers equipment is the pumping of fluids at high temperatures to maintain production of an oil well when it decreases due to plugging in the pipe or reservoir, either by paraffines, asphaltenes or heavy viscous oil.
The equipment has tanks to transport and mix fluids with capacity from 75 bls to 180 bls, a triplex pump with piston from 2.5 “to 3”, maximum pumping rates of 2.5 bpm, maximum pressure of 6000 psi and a gas tank and boiler with capacity to heat the fluid (water, gas oil) up to 250ºF.
